Son Dong welcomes over 50,000 tourist arrivals

(BGO) – The newly established attractions have lured an increased number of visitors to Son Dong district, Bac Giang province. 

The popular destinations include Tay Yen Tu spiritual ecotourism complex, Ba Tia water fall in Tuan Mau commune; Khe Ro primitive forest in An Lac commune and Dong Cao plateau, Thach Son commune. Remarkably, Tay Yen Tu spiritual ecotourism complex has become an attractive destination for many tourists in and outside the province.

Tourists enjoy Tay Yen Tu spiritual ecotourism complex in Tuan Mau commune, Son Dong district.

Since early 2019, the district has welcomed more than 50,000 tourist arrivals including some 3,200 foreign visitors, up nearly 140 percent comparing to the same period last year. The revenue gained from tourism services hit over 98 billion VND (4.2 million USD), increasing nearly 40 percent against the same period in 2018.

The impressive figure was made thanks to the close coordination of Son Dong district People’s Committee, provincial functional agencies and travel agencies to accelerate the communication, promotion, investment attraction, tour linkage...

The numbers of tourists to Son Dong district are expected to further increase because the Tay Yen Tu spiritual – ecotourism complex was invested to build new projects to meet tourists’ demand.

Typically, the provincial People’s Committee schedules to continue organizing Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival in Son Dong district in early 2020 with diverse attractive activities to introduce and promote the tourism potentials of Son Dong district in particular and Bac Giang province in general to the travel lovers.

(BGO) – A ceremony was held on March 15 by the Organization Board of the Spring Festival and first Culture-Tourism Week in the northern province of Bac Giang at the provincial Conventional Center to award the prizes for the photo contest of “7 days to discover the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu”.
 
Tay Yen Tu – Past and present
(BGO) - Yen Tu Mountain should be called Yen Tu Range as it stretches three provinces: Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang. The mountain range has two parts: the eastern part in Quang Ninh and Hai Duong provinces, which is often called Dong Yen Tu (Eastern Yen Tu), and the western part, which is fully located in Bac Giang province and now called Tay Yen Tu (Western Yen Tu).
 
Tay Yen Tu tourism complex attracts nearly 40,000 arrivals in Culture-Tourism Week
(BGO) – According to the Management Board of Tay Yen Tu spiritual –ecological tourism complex, the destination welcomed 39,000 tourist arrivals in the Bac Giang provincial Culture-Tourism Week 2019 (taking place from February 14 - 20), 80 percent of which used the cable car to visit Thuong (Upper) pagoda or Linh Thong Thien Tu.
 
Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival opens
(BGO) - On the morning of February 16 (the 12th day of the first lunar month), at the Tay Yen Tu (Western Yen Tu) spiritual-ecological tourist area in Dong Thong village, Tuan Mau commune (Son Dong district, Bac Giang province), the provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to kick off the Tay Yen Tu Spring Festival 2019 and the Culture-Tourism Week with the theme "Discovering the sacred land of Tay Yen Tu".
