Passengers subject to compulsory electronic medical declaration

The Ministry of Transport recently sent an urgent document to provincial departments in this field, guiding the prompt implementation of the compulsory medical declaration in the domestic flights and public means of transport, in an attempt to discover Covid-19 cases and prevent the spread of the disease at an early date.

In the document, Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan ordered relevant authorities to inform all the transport companies, owners and operators of the means of transport of the application of the compulsory electronic medical declaration on all the passengers before performing the trips.

This is applicable to the domestic flights, trains, cruisers and coaches, it added.

Crew members will have to download the form, guide and help passengers to fill it, and inform relevant authorities when they discover those with suspicious symptoms of the disease.

The ministry also asked the passengers to comply with the requirement on the declaration before starting their trips.

Bac Giang launches electronic health declaration
(BGO) – Amid the new complicated development of Covid-19 epidemic, the Chairman of Bac Giang provincial People’s Committee has issued the document to urge the leaders of the departments, sectors, units and localities to promptly instruct all officers, public servants, staff, citizens and foreigners staying in the province to launch the electronic health declaration on nCovid software (from March 10, 2020).
 
Health declaration apps launched in support of COVID-19 combat
Vietnamese citizens and passengers entering Vietnam are now able to declare their health status via two applications, namely “NCOVI” and “Vietnam health declaration” that were launched in Hanoi on March 9. 
 
Airlines asked to inform passengers of e-health declarations
The Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam (CAAV) has asked airlines to inform all passengers, both Vietnamese and foreigners, on the requirement to fill in electronic health declaration forms before boarding flights to Vietnam, starting from 6:00 am on March 7.
