(BGO) – The People’s Committee in Bac Giang province has issued the Decision to approve for the Planning of Khuon Than urban, eco and sport tourism area in Kien Lao commune, Luc Ngan district (ratio 1/2,000)
Accordingly, the researched area for planning is located in Kien Lao commune in the North West of Luc Ngan district and about 9.5km away from the district center. It borders to protection forest land to the North, production forest land and residential area of Kien Lao commune to the South, protection forest land to the West and to production forest land to the East.

The research scope for planning covers about 873ha with total expected population of 8,658 people and about 2,841 visitors.
Khuon Than urban, eco and sport tourism area will develop various tourism models of resort, eco and sport, entertainment as a key site in Bac Giang province. meanwhile, it will be a synchronous and modern urban area with criteria of technical and social infrastructure as an area to protect and enhance the quality of ecological landscape of Khuon Than lake.
It targets to specify the project of Master Plan to build Chu urban area in Bac Giang province by 2030 with the vision to 2050 (ratio 1/10,000), establish an urban complex which is harmony with natural landscape, has sufficient facilities to create an attractive destination in sport, tourism, preservation and development of Khuon Than lake tourism.
Most of the economic and technical indexes are in line with standard of class 3 urban area. The Master Plan of Chu urban area was approved by the provincial People’s Committee and National Technical Specification about Construction Code.
The main items for construction priority include traffic road, car parking place, water supply and drainage piping system, power supply....; public projects of school, cultural house, tree, sport facilities...
