Da Nang plans to "activate" local tourism from October 20

With the Covid-19 epidemic under control, the Danang Department of Tourism has developed a plan and consulted the leaders of Da Nang City, which is expected to "activate" on-site tourism from October 20.

Da Nang will also welcome international tourists with 2 groups of visitors who are people entering the country on official duty, or visiting relatives and returning home, from November. These people will be isolated for 7 days and must follow other regulations of the Ministry of Health.

The second group is a package tour with markets that have opened to tourism, applying vaccine passports, focusing on the Korean and Russian markets. Currently, the Da Nang's tourism industry has received some positive information about the markets.

It is expected that Russia will bring into the market 2,000 to 4,000 visitors per month. After that, the city will welcome tourists as normal after the Government allows the restoration of international routes, according to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism.

From next November, Da Nang will implement a "tourist bubble" between Da Nang City and other provinces such as Quang Nam and Quang Ninh.

This information was given at the “People's Council with voters in Da Nang City” programme, took place October 13.

According to Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Da Nang's tourism industry plans to restore tourism under the motto of proactive adaptation and must ensure the safety of tourists and tourism industry employees. To begin, Da Nang will welcome domestic guests and pilot reopening to international guests with the slogan "Enjoy Da Nang".
