(BGO) – The Luc Ngan district People’s Committee in Bac Giang province on November 22 launched the Tourism Programme “To the sweet fruit land” (Programme) in 2022 at the Center Square with Mai Son, Permananent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) in attendance.
Addressing the opening ceremony, Chairman of the district People’s Committee La Van Nam briefed on natural advantages of soil and climate together with the hardworking and meticulousness of local farmers which helped turn Luc Ngan into one of the biggest fruit hubs in the North.

Many locals fruits have won belief of domestic and foreign customers. The district boasted for various fruits and signature specialties in four seasons to lure visitors.
With such strong points, local authority defined tourism development as key task so as to gradually bring tourism to become high ratio sector in local economic structure.
The Programme aimed to communicate, promote and attract more visitors to enjoy local orange and pomelo season, offer them amazing experiences with local land and people.

The spotlight is Culture – Tourism Week taking place on November 22 – 27 with chain of art and culture activities, product display at the district center and tourist sites as well as tour to orchard and traditional craft villages.
Speaking at the event, PPC Vice Chairman Mai Son affirmed that Luc Ngan is the first localities in the province to organize seasonal tourism programme with attractive and distinguish features, helping create big echo and lure many tourists to the district; accelerate tourism development, consumption of farm produce and key signature products.

To develop local tourism, he urged local authority to define advantage tourism products to build and complete them, connect various tourism forms in the area like agriculture tourism, culture- spiritual tourism as well as link tourism chain with adjacent localities. The promotion and communication should be done in diverse method and contents.
Apart from paying attention to and investing to infrastructure for tourism development, Luc Ngan needs to enhance the product quality, create signature attraction to visitors. The tourism cooperative should be proactive and active in constructing facilities, landscape; training tourism human resources; linking cooperatives, gardens and business establishement to build complete and attractive tourism product as well as carefully and thoroughly welcome tourists.
