“To sweet fruit land of Luc Ngan” week attracts 13,000 visitors with huge quantity of farm produce sold

(BGO) – Thanks to active preparation and warm support from all levels, sectors and people in and outside Bac Giang province, “To the sweet fruit land of Luc Ngan” Programme (Programme) in 2022 gained postive results.

The Programme was held at the center of Chu town and several communes in Luc Ngan districts like Quy Son, Thanh Hai, Nam Duong, Tru Huu, Son Hai and Tan Son from November 23 – 27, 2022.

Within the framework, Luc Ngan district People’s Committee organized 10 booths to showcase and sell various fruits, rice noodle, Kien Thanh wine, honey and tourism product. The district Division of Culture and Information selected prominient tourism sites and 5 local cooperatives to serve visitors.

Within the event week, the district welcomed 13,000 tourists coming to visit, experience and buy local products. The district sold over 1,700 tonnes of orange and pomelo, 1.5 fold increase comparing to the previous week. So far, over 8,600 tonnes of Luc Ngan orange and pomelo have been comsumed.

Besides, visitors also bought dozens of tonnes of Chu rice noodle, honey, dried lychee and local signature products.

Because the Programme left a deep and widespread imprint on visitors near and far, Luc Ngan still welcomes thousands of tourists every week to visit, buy local product and experience the ripe fruit season.

Luc Ngan aims at stable development of citrus trees

(BGO)- Apart from lychee, farmers in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province have also invested to develop citrus trees in recent years. Thanks to high intensive farming and accurate response to market fluctuation, a number of farmers have gained high income from orange and pomelo.

Bac Giang successfully grows yellow star apple fruit in Luc Ngan

(BGO) – After 17 months of growing, five sao (old measuring units, each is equal to 360 square meters) of yellow star apple fruit of Le Thi Huong, Director of An Phat Production, Commerce and Service Cooperative in Kep 2 village, Hong Giang commune (Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province) can be harvested with sweet fruits.

 

Luc Ngan completes injecting second booster shot against Covid-19 for frontline forces

(BGO) – On August 24 morning, Bac Giang province administered 4,843 more doses of Covid-19 vaccine to all age groups of children aged 5 to under 12 (second jab), children aged 12 to under 18 (third jab) and fourth shot for frontline forces.
