(BGO) - Xuan Luong commune has been chosen by Yen The district of Bac Giang province to host the first cultural festival of Yen The ethnic groups, announce the heritage tree and kick off the tourism year 2017 on February 15 and 16, 2017.
Xuan Luong boasts potential to develop ecological tourism in combination with cultural, spiritual and community-based tourism. The potential tourist attractions are Ngac Hai, Suoi Ven and Quynh lakes, Deo Nga, Deo Da and Ranh Coc waterfalls as well as 13 temples and pagodas, with four of them listed as historical sites. The millennium-year-old “lim” tree (erythrophleum fordii) in Xuan Lung hamlet has been granted the heritage status. On these days, local authorities and people in the district are actively preparing for the festival.
