Major attractions include Ma Pi Leng Peak, Tu San Abyss Alley, and Nho Que River.

Nho Que River originates from the Yunnan mountain region of China, and enters Vietnam at Seo Lung Village, Lung Cu Commune, Dong Van District. The river passes through Tu San Abyss Alley and then runs along Ma Pi Leng, one of the most well-known mountain passes in Vietnam for their beauty and danger.

The river resembles a silk ribbon embracing Seo Lung Village.

Tickets cost VND100,000 ($4.31) per person for a 30-minute boat trip. Visitors can request special photo stops along their way down Tu San Abyss Alley, known as one of the most magnificent canyons in Southeast Asia. Come rain or shine, traveling along the river always offers a charming experience.

A coffee shop is situated at the top of Ma Pi Leng, offering spectacular views of the mountains and river.

Starting from Dong Van, visitors can travel to Ma Pi Leng Pass and take a look at Nho Que River from above. A shorter route to Ta Lang Pier is not advised due to its steep and dangerous elevation.

Motorbike taxis cost VND150,000 ($6.47) and are recommended. The road down to the pier is about 8 km. It is small, slippery (during rainfall) and steep.

Tourists can also rent a kayak and experience rowing on the river.

September to October is the ideal time to visit Ha Giang, in the grip of both harvest and buckwheat flower season.
