Vietnam honoured as Asia’s Best Culinary Destination 2022

Overcoming heavyweight competitors in the region, Vietnam has been honoured as Asia’s Best Culinary Destination 2022, at the third World Culinary Awards, which was recently held in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

This year's World Culinary Awards brought together global celebrities from the culinary industry, pioneers, influencers and top chefs around the world.

Vietnam was honoured as Asia's Best Culinary Destination 2022.

Vietnam overcame heavyweight competitors including China, Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), Malaysia, Singapore, the Republic of Korea and Thailand.

Rina van Staden, Director of the World Culinary Awards, said that the awards’ results were based on a year-long search for the world's top culinary brands. Culinary experts and the general public participated in the poll.

The winners of the 2022 World Culinary Awards are brands that have strived to elevate culinary excellence around the world, she added.

Possessing a rich culinary history, unique cultural heritage, distinctive and unique flavours and distinct processing methods, Vietnamese dishes are a harmonious, perfect and pure combination.

Vietnamese cuisine has reached out to the world, constantly attracting food-loving tourists to come and enjoy.

On December 1, the Michelin Star rating system officially announced the launch of the MICHELIN Guide, at two destinations of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This was assessed as a historical turning point for Vietnamese cuisine, as it was evaluated and ranked according to the most prestigious and strict international standard.

Bac Giang’s image promoted at 2022 Int’l Food Festival
(BGO)- The Service Department for Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam on December 11 organized the 10th international food festival in Hanoi. There were nearly 150 stalls run by 35 embassies, cultural centers of different countries, departments and units under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, departments of foreign affairs from localities and businesses across Vietnam.
