Bac Giang to develop night-time economic activities during 2021 - 2030

(BGO) – Bac Giang province will promote the strong development of night-time economic activities towards building itself into a vibrant and attractive destination to meet the needs of working, entertainment, shopping, enjoying food and experiencing the nightlife of local people and visitors. The target was set in a project on the development of night-time economy in Bac Giang province for the 2021 – 2030 period recently approved by the provincial People's Committee.

A developed night-time economy will promote the strong development of the service and tourism industries to become important economic sectors of the province and help other economic sectors expand, positively contributing to the socio-economic development of Bac Giang and improving the province’s position in the region.

By 2030, Bac Giang sets a goal of forming at least one separate bustling night entertainment complex, developing at least three large-scale areas gathering shops, shopping centers, food streets, and restaurants operating at night in the vicinity of local industrial zones to meet the shopping and entertainment needs of the residents.

The province will form at least three unique tours and tourist routes in combination with culinary and cultural services to serve tourists with an average stay of 3-4 days, while developing at least four iconic night entertainment, cultural and artistic products. Districts and Bac Giang city will set up pedestrian streets and zones for night-time economic development with local characteristics.

Bac Giang will study and develop a night-time economy with a full range of services and activities, including cultural – entertainment activities, food, shopping and tourism services.

For cultural – entertainment activities, at the separate night entertainment complex, exciting and modern entertainment activities and services will be held for young people such as: casinos, bars, pubs, discos, karaoke, restaurants, "live" music, spa, massage, nail, video games, fashion shows, art performances and shopping tours, meeting the needs of visitors.

Walking streets will be organised with night activities and services such as "check in" sightseeing, entertainment activities, folk games, food festivals, shopping, street art performances, colorful parades and street lighting.

Large-scale tourist sites and accommodation establishments are encouraged to invest in night services such as coffee shops, bars, pubs, karaoke and massage services. They will develop plans to periodically organize cultural and entertainment events such as festivals, music festivals, carnivals, light festivals, street dances, and music programmes with the participation of famous artists at night, associated with cultural and historical events of the province such as the festivals marking Xuong Giang Victory and Yen The Uprising, the Tay Yen Tu Festival, the Luc Ngan district Fruit Festival, and the Tho Ha Pagoda Festival...
