Bac Giang ensures power grid safety to serve business production

(BGO) – Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee in Bac Giang province (PPC) Phan The Tuan on February 27 chaired a meeting about power supply and safety for local business production.

The electrical grid in Bac Giang province is powered by four 220kV substations with a total capacity of 1,750 MVA. Apart from these substations, several adjacent spare substations are ready to alternatively supply power to the industrial parks in needy case.

In 2022, the industrial parks consumed totally 2,605.733 million kWh, increasing 31.78 percent against the figure in 2021 and accounting for 41.81 percent of total commercial electricity volume. The power quality was basically good and met the production requirement.

To satisfy the load demand in the future, Bac Giang Power Company reported to Vietnam Electricity Northern Power Corporation (EVNPC) and suggested to build 110kV power grid in the upcoming time. EVNPC reviewed the load demand in Bac Giang province and defined to mobilize capital and human resources together with synchronous solutions to accelerate the investment and construction of power supply project to the province, especially in the industrial parks of Quan Chau, Van Trung, Dinh Tram, Hoa Phu, Vietnam Korean, Song Khe…

Concluding the event, the PPC Vice Chairman Phan The Tuan urged the People’s Committee in the districts and city to speed up land clearance of electrical projects to hand over to the construction contractor while strictly cooperating with the investor to timely handle any arising problem during project execution.

EVNPC was suggested to examine construction contractor to ensure the schedule of project to construct Son Dong 110kV substation and wire; cooperate with relevant parties to accelerate the project to build Vietnam – Korean, Van Trung No.2 110kV substation and wire among others.

Meanwhile, EVNPC should arrange compensation expense for the site work, actively collaborate with the People’s Committee in the districts, city and relevant agencies to timely remove any obstacle during the project implementation together with regular report.
