Bac Giang yields over 64,000 tonnes of citrus fruits

(BGO) – Bac Giang yielded over 64,000 tonnes of citrus fruits in 2022 season, including over 41,100 tonnes of pomelo (up 3,000 tonnes) and 42,200 tonnes of orange (down 6,000 tonnes), reported the Department of Plant Production and Protection.

The yellow flesh orange was sold at average price of 15 o 18,000 VND (0.64 – 0.77 USD) per kg, sweet orange at 30 – 45,000 VND per kg, green skin pomelo at 30 – 40,000 VND per kg among others.

The orange was sold at higher price of 2 – 5,000 VND per kg comparing to that of 2021 season while the selling price of pomelo remained unchanged.

So far, the localities have basically completed harvesting the citrus fruits and provided intensive care for the crops so as to have next bumper harvest.

Hoa Binh exports first batch of Dien pomelo to UK

Bac Giang has great chance to export pomelo to United States

(BGO) – The Plant Protection Department (PPD) (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – MARD) on October 17 announced the order of importing Vietnamese fresh pomelo to the United States. With big growing area, high quality and quantity, Bac Giang has many opportunities to export this fruit to the choosy market.
