(BGO) - Over the past time, relevant agencies and the three provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang have joined hands to accelerate the building of a profile of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac landscape and relic complex for official submission to UNESCO before December 31 this year.
The profile preparation has so far seen remarkable results. In particular, the results of additional archeological excavations at nine relic sites in the three provinces have provided many valuable documents affirming the enduring and continuous development with great values of Truc Lam Buddist Zen sect.

These documents make important contributions to the drafting and completion of the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac landscape and relic complex profile to be submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a world heritage.
In the process of synthesizing a huge amount of documents to make the profile, the consulting units have built a profile draft with specific contents, from identifying the heritage, describing the heritage, the reasons for submission to conservation status and factors affecting the heritage, protection and management.
Scientists have also made a report summarizing the research results, analyzing and proving the selection criteria of the heritage profile.
Currently, the Institute of Conservation of Monuments under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the management plans for five relic sites in the heritage complex, including Yen Tu relic and scenic site and Tran Dynasty relic site in Quang Ninh, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Bo Da Pagoda in Bac Giang, and Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site in Hai Duong; and a summary of the management plan of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son and Kiep Bac landscape and relic complex.

The localities have embellished and cleaned the environment at the relic sites included in the heritage profile; installed signposts introducing the relic sites in Vietnamese and English, safety warning signs and camera systems at the sites; arranged medical facilities and equipment for children, the elderly and the disabled...
In order to accelerate the process of completing the heritage profile to win approval from central and international agencies, in the coming time, the three provinces in the heritage area will continue to closely coordinate with consulting units to organize relevant conferences and seminars; prepare content and documents to serve international experts who come for actual appraisal; do well the embellishment and environmental protection at the relic sites in the complex.
