Phuong Son township in Luc Nam district established

(BGO)-The people’s committee of Luc Nam on Jun 26 district held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the National Assembly Standing Committee on establishment of Phuong Son township in Luc Nam district. The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le O Pich and representatives of some departments, agencies and Luc Nam district.

Phuong Son commune was established in 1957 with 4 villages of Phuong Lan, Ken, Doc and Khieu. Since 2005, Phuong Son consists of 9 villages and 1 residential group (San residential group). This township has natural land area of more than 844 hectares and 2,241 households with 8,866 residents.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Le O Pich gives Resolution on establishment of Phuong Son township to representatives of the party committee, people’s council, people’s committee and fatherland front committee of the township.

In implementation of the Resolution of the provincial Standing Party Committee and plan of the provincial People’s Committee on boosting urban development, Luc Nam district has paid due attention to allocating fund to build general planning of Phuong Son township until 2030. Phuong Son township is targeted to become an urban center for development of commercial, transportation and agricultural services and handicraft industry in the southwest.

In 2020, the district made the urban classification scheme of Phuong Son township and it was recognized fifth-tier urban area by Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee. In order to implement the planning of Phuong Son township, the district has paid attention to encouraging investment attraction to the commune.

The infrastructure of Phuong Son town is constructed.

Currently, there are 3 ongoing residential area projects in need of 30 hectares of land acquisition with total investment nearly 400 billion VND (17.1 million USD). Besides, the district has collaborated with the Department of Industry and Trade and Lang Giang district to select investors for Phuong Son-Dai Lam industrial cluster on 50 hectares with expected investment of 566 billion VND (24.2 million USD).

The Standing Committee of the 15th tenure National Assembly issued the Resolution No 510/NQ-UBTVQH15 dated May 12, 2022 on establishment of Phuong Son township. The administrative apparatus and political system of Phuong Son township will come into operation from July 1, 2022.

Bac Giang has 10 more growing area codes for export

(BGO) - On authorization of competent agencies from China, the US and Japan, the Department of Plant Protection (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) has granted 10 more lychee growing area codes (GAC) to Bac Giang province for export to these markets, said the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
