Phuong Son and Bac Ly towns established in Bac Giang

(BGO) - Chairman of the National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue has inked to issue Resolution No.510/NQ-UBTVQH15 to establish Phuong Son town in Luc Nam district and Bac Ly town in Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province.

Accordingly, the NA Standing Committee decided to establish Phuong Son town covering 8.45 square kilometers of natural land with about 8,380 people in Phuong Son commune.

It borders Chu Dien, Lan Mau and Thanh Lam communes and Lang Giang district. After establishment, Luc Nam district has 25 communal administrative units including 23 communes and two towns.

The NA Standing Committee decided to establish Bac Ly town in 12.9 square kilometers of natural land with about 15,279 people in Bac Ly commune.

It borders Chau Minh, Danh Thang, Doan Bai, Dong Lo, Huong Lam, Mai Trung, Thuong Thang and Xuan Cam communes.

After establishment, Hiep Hoa district has 25 communal administrative units including 23 communes and two towns.

When establishing two towns, the province has 10 district administrative units (including 9 districts and one city); 209 communal administrative units (including 182 communes, 10 wards and 17 towns).

The Resolution takes effect from July 1, 2022.
