Each member listened attentively, took notes and asked questions through an interpreter. Sharing about the Ven village tea cultivation process, a representative of Than Truong Cooperative said that to make high-quality tea, tea leaves must meet the standards. After being picked, they are preliminarily wilted under normal temperature in a cool place.
Then they are stirred continuously and crumped. When the tea cools, it is spread on the ground that has been cleaned for about 1 hour to get the "yin" air, and stored in a styrofoam box for a week before packing. The cooperative also trim the tea trees to just half a body to make it easy to care for and harvest as well as to serve community tourism development.
Le Ba Thanh, Deputy Director of the Bac Giang provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said under the cooperation agreement between Bac Giang province and Xaysomboun province signed in August 2021, the department has developed plans to support the Lao province to build agricultural models, including those on improving beef cattle and goat.
The representatives of the department and related units organized a field trip to Xaysomboun province to see which crops and livestock suitable for local weather, climate, temperature, and soil conditions.
The survey shows that the weather in Xaysomboun is very suitable for tea growing. Its large forest land area enables it to plant eucalyptus and acacia. Raising goats and sheep, growing citrus trees, especially raising chickens under the forest canopy also meet the local conditions.
