(BGO) – Despite many difficulties in overcoming the consequences left by Covid-19, preventing and controlling it from re-emergence in the locality, with the spirit of "All for the people of the South”, on the morning of August 30, Bac Giang province continued to send medical personnel to support Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong and Long An provinces in the fight against the pandemic (second time).

Volunteering to go to the epicenter

On August 30, 91 medical workers from Bac Giang province left for Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong and Long An provinces. These are all officers, doctors, nurses and technicians with professional and anti-epidemic experience working in the specialties: Emergency and Resuscitation, Infectious Diseases, Respiratory, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Infection Control.

This time, the anti-pandemic mission to Long An province has 41 members. Doctor Nguyen Thu Phuong (working at the Bac Giang Women’s and Children's Hospital), a member of the mission, said: "I signed up to voluntarily go to fight the epidemic last time, but due to a large number of volunteers, my application was just approved this time”.

On August 30, the first working delegation of Bac Giang to Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Binh Duong and Long An returned home. Of whom, 16 health workers continued to register to stay and "share the fire" with their colleagues.

For more than a month, the working delegations supporting the southern provinces and cities in fighting the pandemic have worked hard and made every effort, despite hardships and dangers, to regain the lives of patients.
