Bac Giang city to builds 5 parking lots

(BGO) – The Management Board of construction and investment project in Bac Giang city (Bac Giang province) has prepared procedures to build 5 parking lots in the wards of Xuong Giang, Dinh Ke and Tho Xuong on total area of over one hectare.

The parking lots will be constructed on Tran Quang Khai street, crossroad of Chu Danh Te street and Giap Van Phuc street, Le Trien street, behind the student dormitory, crossroad of Giap Le street and Ton That Tung street, Pham Tuc Minh street (next to Cu Lac lake and military station).

More parking lots will be built in the city to recover the shortage of parking place.

The parking lot on Pham Tuc Minh street is biggest, covering nearly 4,300 square meters while the remaining ones is from 1,100 to 1,900 square meters.

As schedule, the construction will be started in July and completed within this year. These parking lots will be equipped with concrete foundations, curbs and the surrounding sidewalks paved stone artificial bricks and painted lines. The total investment hits 6.2 billion VND (nearly 264,000 USD) from the city budget.

Recently, the number of cars in the city has sharply increased. Many new urban and residential areas, administrative offices, apartments and commercial centers lack parking places.

Implementing the provincial traffic system development project in 2016 – 2020 period and upcoming years, the municipal People’s Committee decided to mobilize budget and build parking lots to meet the urgent need of the people, ensure traffic safety and urban beauty.
