Many foreign athlete delegations visit Bac Giang tourism destinations

(BGO) – On the occasion of SEA Games 31 badminton competition in the northern province of Bac Giang, many foreign athlete delegations visited natural landscape and tourism sites in the province on May 20.

Nearly 50 delegates from Lao, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines…enjoyed the tour to Tay Yen Tu spiritual and ecotourism complex (Son Dong district), special national relic sites of Vinh Nghiem pagoda (Yen Dung district), Xuong Giang Victory Site (Bac Giang city).

After visiting Tay Yen Tu, Bunnarith Sam, the coach of Cambodian badminton team said: “We would like to thank local Organizer to provide such amazing tour for us. It is the first time I have ever climbed up such a high mountain with fresh air. Bac Giang culture is so unique and the people are so friendly. If I have chance to join other sport event in Vietnam, I hope to come back this place”.

Visiting Vinh Nghiem pagoda, badminton referee Wanphaya Asingsamanan from Thailand shared: “I truly impress and surprise at the beauty of this ancient pagoda. It is the first time I have seen woodblock storage which are really fine, unique with many values”.

The badminton competition is set to take place from May 16 – 22 at the provincial Gymnasium with the participation of 135 athletes from 8 countries of Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam.

(BGO) – The quarterfinal matches in badminton individual of the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31) took place on May 20 morning at Bac Giang provincial Gymnasium. Vietnam badminton team won two tickets to the next round.
