(BGO) - When night falls, many streets in Bac Giang City (Bac Giang province) become vibrant, helping attract numerous visitors.
For three months, Hung Vuong 1 street in Hoang Van Thu and Le Loi wards has become more sparkling and vibrant. The high-rise buildings and shops with modern shapes are decorated with led lights, flower, trees and fountains, which created fresh and eye-catching landscape.

Thanks to the facilitation from the City People's Committee, Tuan Mai Trading Joint Stock Company has invested in building a pedestrian street and night economy in this area. At weekends, it attracts a lot of people coming to relax, take pictures and enjoy attractive drinks such as tea, smoothies, ice cream and coffee.
Hoang Thi Giang, a resident in Nguyen Khuyen Street, Xuong Giang Ward said: "In hot summer evening, I often bring my children here to play. The children love it because the space is cool, the landscape is clean and beautiful, unique, crowded but not noisy".
Recently, the night cuisine area at the Thuong river dike in Tan Ninh residential group of Tran Phu ward has become a popular attraction. The dyke corridor was embanked, concreted by the municipal authority together with railings, lights, flower beds. Dozen households have invested in building restaurants and stores to sell food and drink as well as play area for children. In the afternoon, the dyke sparkles with lights reflecting on the river surface, luring many diners.
Currently, the city Economic Division has mobilized and supported businesses to invest in building pedestrian streets in the southern urban area; night economic zone in Xuong Giang ward with diverse spaces of shopping, cuisine, cultural exchange, art performance and sports. |
In the city, there are some vibrant streets at night, such as the food street at Nghia Long street, Tran Phu ward; fruit business street at Than Nhan Trung street, Tan My commune; flower street at Le Loi street, Hoang Van Thu ward; Lantern Street at Nguyen Thi Luu 6 Street, Ngo Quyen Ward...
The night streets bring economic efficiency, create jobs and income for laborers in local and surrounding areas. At the same time, they satisfy demands for entertainment and shopping; create a new feature for the urban area, contribute to local tourism development.
Implementing the Resolution of the 22nd Party Congress of Bac Giang City, tenure 2020 - 2025, Bac Giang City People's Committee encouraged to develop trade and services, including building pedestrian streets and promoting night economy.
According to Le Thi Kiem, Head of Urban Management Division, along with creating favorable conditions for enterprises and business households, the municipal competent agencies and and local authorities paid due attention to guiding units to operate in line with regulations; ensure security, urban order and environmental sanitation.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the city continues mobilizing resources for the development of commercial and service infrastructure; forming and maintaining a number of cultural - tourist - commercial - service - culinary spaces associated with walking streets and night economy.
Currently, the city Economic Division has mobilized and supported businesses to invest in building pedestrian streets in the southern urban area; night economic zone in Xuong Giang ward with diverse spaces of shopping, cuisine, cultural exchange, art performance and sports.
At the same time, local authority orients enterprises and business households in these areas to develop shopping services, introduce and promote local OCOP products to serve tourists while focusing on propaganda and education to build civilized attitudes and skills in order to create a good image of the people of Bac Giang city with tourists.
